Hoping that St. Vincent gets around to making a whole album that’s this loud and aggressive. It feels like she’s leading up to it—each of her albums has been more explosive than the last, plus there’s her fiery covers of Big Black and the Pop Group. I’d call “KROKODIL” St. Vincent’s most intense moment on record so far, with its overdriven three-note riff, barreling drums, and Annie Clark’s frenzied vocals. More of this, please.
